Hun Yuan Tai Chi Classes

The Hun Yuan T'ai Chi Chuan system integrates the philosophy of Taoism with the principles of martial arts techniques.  Hun Yuan T'ai Chi Chuan was developed by one of China's greatest living martial artists.  Grand Master Feng Zhi Qiang.  This particular style of T'ai Chi Chuan incorporates elements of the Chen style Tai Chi Chuan,  Xingyi Quan, Bagua Zhang and Tongbei Quan with Qigong.  It emphasizes deep relaxation, the development of internal energy, and increased flexibility of the joints, tendons, and ligaments.  The smooth, circular body movements of the style generate significant energy for overall health and martial applications.  Hun Yuan T'ai Chi Chuan promotes vitality, clear mindedness, and overall health and well being.

A typical class taught by Master Zhang begins with 45 to 60 minutes of Qigong (internal energy work and standing meditation) followed by practice of one of the Hun Yuan T'ai Chi forms.  After the initial, first month of practicing t'ai chi with Master Zhang, students find themselves stronger, more limber, and relaxed.

Classes run for 90 minutes.  Review classes outside of the normal classes are generally offered free of charge by advanced students.
